Ansar 10th May – Footsteps of the Sahabiyat: Struggles & Sacrifice
Assalaamu’alaikum Dear Sisters!
Please join us this Sunday 10th of May, 11AM at 29 Haldon St, Lakemba for another Ansar Gathering!
In our upcoming Ansar we shall retrace the footsteps of some of the great women living during the time of the Prophet SAW. Looking specifically at the struggles and the sacrifices of: Sumaya bint Khabbat (RA), Umm Sulaym bint Milhan (RA) and Nusaybah bint Ka’b (RA).
Who were these women? How did they live their lives? What role did they have in propagating & conveying Islam?
And importantly, let us as young muslimah draw closer to the sahabiyat, acquaint ourselves with such personalities that we yearn and work hard to be as they were towards their Islam. And what more relevant time than the present to look towards these excellent examples, as today we are so bombarded with corrupt personalities to emulate and to adopt ‘foreign’ concepts of what women are and should be.
