Ansar 31/05: The ‘Gender Equality’ Debate!
Assalaamu’alaikum Dear Sisters!
Please join us this Sunday 31st of May, 11AM at 29 Haldon St, Lakemba for another Ansar Gathering!
This time we’ll be looking into the issue of ‘gender equality’ and whether this ‘debate’ be applied to the social system and values of Islam: where does this push for gender equality stem from? Can muslims, men and women, carry & adopt this mentality of ‘equal’ rights? What are the implications of this fight for gender equality in relation to the family unit and society at large? What is the Islamic perspective to this?
Certainly a topic that needs to be discussed as it is linked to our identity as muslimah in the West and inshaAllah to clarify the misconceptions out there regarding the status of women, and to expose the fallacy of man-made law in bringing justice to all women.

I seem to be having a problem / a hard time / trouble , subscribing to your RSS feed. It comes up with error 500. Let me know if its a easy to fix error or if its just me .
