After a month of preparation, a fortnight of publicity and with many different organisations lending their aid to the night, Nahda and Ansar, with the aid of the Muslim youth at large, and the help of Allah swt almighty, held perhaps the first such Muslim youth event to be held in Sydney, Australia. Bringing together various organisations, the event was attended by a crowd of some 380 people; 230 brothers and 150 sisters. The sisters’ section of the venue exceeded capacity, and extra chairs had to be organised for brothers also.
The event multimedia will be released in two phases: images/report and videos of talks. The talks and videos should be up soon, insha Allah.
The momentous nature of this event was not lost on the audience – the feedback forms that were provided to the audience are filled with encouraging comments from people who want similar things held in the future and are pleased with the positive steps taken in this collaborative effort between many different Muslim youth organisations and societies (from university campuses).
The event documentary played on the night will soon be released insha Allah as well.

Lived up to my BIG expectations … May Allah (swt) reward and shower His Blessings and Mercy upon all those who assisted and supported this event. The speakers were beautiful and connected with the audience .. I know Ive walked away with a big push to get active on many different levels.
